May 30th 2014 - My recent walk of 300km was along GR700 - The Camino St. Gillies. Originally the fourth major pilgrimage route after Jerusalem, Rome and Santiago de Compostella. A really stunning walk from Le Puy le Vezlay to St. Gillies on the Camargue in Southern France. I walked on to Arles which is a starting point for Santiago. My recent walk along GR107 - The Chemin des Bonhommes, from Foix in Southern France, over the Pyrenees to Berga near Barcelona. 11 days of amazing mountain walking - 9,000m (30,000ft) of ascent/descent - tracing the 13th & 14th. century route used by the Cathars - the Good Men - to escape the Pope's Inquisition. April 2014 - Now read the book about it!
