2019 is the 50th. anniversary of John's classic limestone dale walk -
THE LIMEY WAY -40 MILES
Here for the first time are of all my walk guides that I have written. Walking is my way of life and hope my guides bring you to places, exploring Mother Earth, while getting some healthy exercise.
John is acknowledged as Britain's most experienced hiker and the world's greatest marathon walker, having so far walked - July 2019 - more than 226,500 miles on walks throughout the world and worn out 139 pairs of boots. He is author of more than 470 walk guides - all devised, created and authored by him.
He is regularly copied but never equalled.

These boots were made for walking - my 134th (2018) and new 135th. pair (2019).
John's latest adventure in September 2019 - Cycling from London to Paris and back along the River Seine - 540 miles in 10 days. This was his second long bike ride!
